Baystone colts shine at jump-outs
2024 Inglis Ready2Race Lots win their respective heats
Baystone Farm’s livery had a morning to remember at Flemington on 26 September when a series of jump-outs witnessed two unraced 2-year-olds and an unraced 3-year-old display considerable raw ability to record impressive wins.
Members of our 2024 Inglis Ready2Race Sale, a brace of Capitalist colts from Sister Sledge and Medic won heats 4 and 11 respectively over 800m. Both were prepared for their assignment by Leon & Troy Corstens & Will Larkin and came through their initial appearance in public with flying colours.
The Capitalist-Sister Sledge colt clocked 48.07s in defeating six rivals, finishing close enough to three lengths clear of the chasing pack on the line. He’s catalogued as Lot 159 of the Ready2Race Sale in Sydney
The Capitalist-Medic colt was equally impressive (if not more so) in winning heat 11. In fact, the exceptionally well-bred youngster clocked a very rapid 46.92s — the fastest time of all 12 jump-outs staged for all age groups that day.
To offered as Lot 101 of the Inglis Ready2Race Sale, this very precocious youngster is from a full-sister to Australian Champion 2YO and Golden Slipper winner Estijaab. Moreover, his dam is a daughter of dual Group 1 winner Response.
A very good morning for Baystone Farm only got better when an unraced Toronado (Ire) 3YO named Deployed showed immense promise to defeat five rivals in very efficient fashion.
Yet another exciting Baystone Farm prospect in training with Leon & Troy Corstens & Will Larkin at Flemington, Deployed dominated the 800m heat over the closing stages, running a time of 47.12s despite being eased down over the final 100 metres.
As previously stated, the two jump-out winning Capitalist colts will be presented as Lot 101 and Lot 159 of the 2024 Inglis Ready2Race Sale to be conducted at Riverside Stables, Warwick Farm, in Sydney on 15th October.
